Camp Post
Hello blog world. I cannot begin to tell you how great it has been here at Camp Ithiel! We are free of legalistic nonsensical thinking and most of all, Pat Pugh is in the house! God had a plan and although the legalistic terrorists thought they had won the "war," in reality they only won 2 very small skirmishes! You see, our "old camp" did us a huge favor. We are now to reach out to kids in the name of Christ unhindered by unbiblical thinking and man made rules. Second, as I knew last year, Pat has struck a chord with our young people. He spoke to them last night about all of us wanting our or "My Space" when in reality its all God's Space, hence our theme "His Space."
And just as with a "My Space" website we have a choice when it comes to God. We can either click "Accept" or "Reject." The choice is ours. I'd write more but I'm sitting outside in the Florida humidity so I'm going to post some pictures later. Keep us in your prayers.

Cec: Remember our first couple of years at CFBC? Four Bible classes each day, one hour each. In the Florida heat and humidity, no shorts were allowed during Bible classes? Just the beginning of what you experienced this year ... the fruit of legalism.
Glad you've experienced an exodus!! Give my love to the others on staff who would know me.

I'm thankful things are going so well. God is in control. May His blessings remain with you and all staff and students!
Maybe I could come to your camp next year. I've never been to church camp. I guess Pepperdine and Zoe conferences are sorta 'grown-up church camp'.
You've given me a good idea. I can't believe I've worked with kids for this long without setting up my own My Space. What a great way to interact positively with them...and have a connection to talk about.
