Camp Pictures
This a picture of Steven having just thrown one of the kickballs to a fellow teamate in a game we call "Cardiac Kickball."
How about this for an upgrade - a camp with a lake with water in it! Our old "un-inviting camp" had a lake with little or no water. Here at Camp Ithiel we were able to offer our camper a ride in a canoe or kayak as an option. I'm going for my "ride" today.
Steven and his friends at one of our great meals at Camp Ithiel. This camp has a full time kitchen staff with a family style / all you can eat menu. The food here is also a serious upgrade as well. "Mr. Mike" (Camp Director) have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome.
Something the legalistic terrorists tried to stop but were defeated by God Himself - Brother Pat Pugh bringing a challenging and convicting message to our teens! As he would say, "Keeping it real." God's Word cannot be stopped by the most powerful empires, countries, or self-serving legalists! My good friend Steve and I had a vision last year of the effect Pat would have on our kids and it has come to pass in the form of 5 precious souls that will be baptized into Christ. Praise God.
Our kids listening to our local contemporary Christian band, “Catharsis.”
Our "traditional" Sunday morning of Camp service that we held in an outdoor pavilion at Camp Ithiel.
You can't get Camp done without good help. From left to right at registration are Lenoir, our camp nurse, my wife Barb, "Lipscomb (older girls) counselor," and her fellow partner in crime, Lee or aka, "Elly May."
Bill - Looking forward to seeing you. Don't forget that paint brush.
Judy - Welcome back and it was.
Greg - These guys have been together since last year's camp.
